Briskeby

Briskeby sits between Riddervolds plass and the Royal Park, and is characterised by a strong local feel, there are almost no shops here, but you find a few selected wine bars, bakeries and restaurants that the locals know. The housing stock is classic Frogner, large apartments in art-nouveau blocks, fireplaces, parquet floors and high ceilings. Furnished apartments are rare here, but those that exist come at top standard. The district is the first choice for diplomatic families, partners in international law firms, and people who want to live like a local Oslo resident rather than like a tourist. Tram 11 runs straight through the area and gives you Aker brygge and the centre in under ten minutes.
